ABOUT THIS POSTER.

24 May 1931, a ten-hour Grand Prix on the full Monza course, the road circuit joined to the banked speed ring of 1922 inside the royal park. The red number 26 won after ten hours of racing in the heat, the victory that gave the car its famous nickname. On this poster it sweeps round the banking wheel to wheel with the blue number 14, the whole scene tilted with the curve, the park trees and a flag-decked grandstand behind.

  • Red number 26 and blue number 14 side by side on the banked curve, seen low from the infield
  • The original 1922 speed ring, the trees of the royal park and the period grandstand with Italian flags
  • Precise Art Deco lettering: MONZA, Grand Prix Automobile, 24 Maggio 1931; part of our Pre-War Grand Prix series

The image is generated with AI from our researched brief, then reworked and finished by our team in Switzerland. It is an original picture, not a reproduction of any historical artwork.
