ABOUT THIS POSTER.
The rarest of the three and the one that stops people in the street: a solid black German Shepherd standing side on, the coat laid as a deep translucent wash so the engraved line and the paper still show through it, three ink head studies beneath, and a full typeset entry on the dog bred in 1899 to want a job and still wanting one. A portrait of the breed, not of one dog.
- Black German Shepherd, side view, over three ink head studies
- Typeset breed entry: Deutscher Schäferhund, Germany, Since 1899, the breed society, the Kennel Club in 1919, height and weight
- Ivory paper tone, engraved line under hand-coloured wash
The image is generated with AI from our researched brief, then reworked and finished by our team in Switzerland. It is an original picture, not a reproduction of any historical artwork.
