The dark timber chalets of Val d'Isère gather around the stone church with its pointed slate spire, with slalom gates descending the open snow slope beside the village. The great round rocky dome of the Bellevarde rises behind, framed by snow ridges and dark pines under a low gold sun. In front, a skier in grey carves across the foreground.
Drawn in the manner of the 1920s and 30s alpine lithographs: flat screen-printed colour, a geometric figure in the foreground and the altitude set beneath the name, SAVOIE 1850m. An original design, not a reproduction of any historical poster.
Designed in Switzerland. Printed on premium matte 200 gsm paper, 20×25 to 50×70 cm, unframed or in a wooden frame.
