ABOUT THIS POSTER.
The metalmarks: small, mostly tropical butterflies named for the tiny flecks of metallic silver and gold scattered across their wings like jewellery. Rarely seen outside the rainforests of Central and South America, they're drawn here in the hand-coloured engraving style of the great expedition plates, each specimen labelled in fine serif type on a warm ivory ground. A rare, intriguing sheet for anyone who loves the unusual side of nature. It brings colour and calm to a living room, a study or a bedroom, and pairs beautifully with the other family charts of the series.
