ABOUT THIS POSTER.
The deep coat of the working lines, closest to the red setters in the breed's ancestry: a dark gold Golden Retriever standing side on, the rich colour laid as a translucent wash over engraved line so the paper still shows through, with puppy and adult head studies in ink beneath and a full typeset entry on how the breed was made and what for. A portrait of the breed, not of one dog.
- Dark gold Golden Retriever, side view, over three ink head studies: puppy, adult, adult front
- Typeset breed entry: Guisachan 1868, Lord Tweedmouth's yellow retriever, Kennel Club 1913, height and weight
- Ivory paper tone, engraved line under hand-coloured wash
The image is generated with AI from our researched brief, then reworked and finished by our team in Switzerland. It is an original picture, not a reproduction of any historical artwork.
