ABOUT THIS POSTER.
The painted Bavarian houses of Garmisch stand around their slender church spire, with a tall ski-jump tower on the left and a jumper mid-flight above the snow. Behind, the serrated grey rock face of the range catches a low gold sun through the pines. In front, a skier in grey takes the slope at speed.
Drawn in the manner of the 1920s and 30s alpine lithographs: flat screen-printed colour, a geometric figure in the foreground and the altitude set beneath the name, BAYERN 708m. An original design, not a reproduction of any historical poster.
Designed in Switzerland. Printed on premium matte 200 gsm paper, 20×25 to 50×70 cm, unframed or in a wooden frame.
