A long white lakefront hotel and a steepled white church stand on the shore at Lake Placid, with skaters and a horse-drawn sleigh out on the ice. Behind, a dark rounded Adirondack peak rises between lower snow ridges and dark pines under a low gold sun. In front, a skier in blue carves across the foreground.
Drawn in the manner of the 1920s and 30s alpine lithographs: flat screen-printed colour, a geometric figure in the foreground and the altitude set beneath the name, NEW YORK 1801ft. An original design, not a reproduction of any historical poster.
