ABOUT THIS POSTER.
The tall slender white steeple of the village church rises over the clapboard houses of Stowe, with a classic red barn on the snow road and a horse-drawn sleigh in front of it. Behind, the long rounded ridge of the Green Mountains is cut by open ski trails under a low gold sun. In front, a skier in blue takes the slope at speed.
Drawn in the manner of the 1920s and 30s alpine lithographs: flat screen-printed colour, a geometric figure in the foreground and the altitude set beneath the name, VERMONT 723ft. An original design, not a reproduction of any historical poster.
